Kübra Gümüşay ist Autorin des Bestsellers »Sprache & Sein«, Moderatorin der Gesprächsreihen »Utopia Talks« am Thalia Theater und »Widerstand & Leben«, sowie Initiatorin zahlreicher Kampagnen und Vereine – u.a. des feministischen Co-Creation Spaces eeden in Hamburg, den die Bundesregierung 2019 als »Kultur- und Kreativpiloten Deutschlands« auszeichnete, oder des feministischen Bündnisses #ausnahmslos, das 2016 mit dem Clara Zetkin Frauenpreis ausgezeichnet wurde. Das Magazin Forbes zählte sie 2018 zu den Top 30 unter 30 in Europa. 2021 war sie Stipendiatin der Deutschen Kulturstiftung Tarabya, 2022/3 Senior Fellow der Mercator Stiftung am CRASSH, dem Centre for the Future of Intelligence und am Jesus College an der University of Cambridge. 2023/24 war sie Fellow am New Institute. Kübra Gümüşay is the author of the bestseller „Language & Being,“ moderator of the discussion series „Utopia Talks“ at the Thalia Theater and „Resistance & Life,“ and initiator of numerous campaigns and associations—including the feminist co-creation space eeden in Hamburg, which the German Federal Government recognized as a „Cultural and Creative Pilot of Germany“ in 2019, and the feminist alliance #ausnahmslos, which received the Clara Zetkin Women’s Prize in 2016. In 2021, she was a fellow of the German Cultural Foundation Tarabya, and in 2022/23, a Senior Fellow of the Mercator Foundation at CRASSH, the Centre for the Future of Intelligence, and at Jesus College, University of Cambridge. In 2023/24 she was a Fellow at the New Institute. From 2026 she will be a Fellow at the Center for Futures of Sustainability at the University of Hamburg. Her current research focuses on alternative futures, real utopias, and the politics of imagination.
