Kübra Gümüşay ist Autorin des Bestsellers »Sprache & Sein«, Moderatorin der Gesprächsreihe “Utopia Talks” am Thalia Theater in Hamburg.
Sie ist Initiatorin zahlreicher preisgekrönter Kampagnen und Vereine – u.a. des feministischen Co-Creation Spaces eeden in Hamburg, das 2019 von der Bundesregierung als »Kultur- und Kreativpiloten« ausgezeichnet wurde, der feministischen Research- und Advocacy-Organisation future_s oder des feministischen Bündnisses #ausnahmslos, das 2016 mit den Clara Zetkin Frauenpreis ausgezeichnet wurde. Ihr Blog ein-fremdwoerterbuch.com wurde 2011 für den Grimme Online Award nominiert. Das Forbes Magazine zählte sie 2018 zu den Top 30 under 30 in Europa. 2021 war sie Stipendiatin der Deutschen Kulturstiftung Tarabya. 2022/3 war sie als Senior Fellow der Mercator Stiftung am Centre for Research for Research in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CRASSH), am Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence und als Visiting Fellow am Jesus College an der University of Cambridge.
Derzeit ist sie Fellow am The New Institute in Hamburg. Sie erforscht alternative, gerechte Zukünfte, reale Utopien und die Politik der Imaginationen.

Kübra Gümüşay is the author of the bestseller ‘Sprache & Sein’ (Language & Being) and host of the ‘Utopia Talks’ discussion series at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg.
She is the initiator of numerous award-winning campaigns and associations, including the feminist co-creation space eeden in Hamburg, which was honoured by the German government as a ‘Culture and Creative Pilot’ in 2019, the feminist research and advocacy organisation future_s, and the feminist alliance # ausnahmslos, which was awarded the Clara Zetkin Women’s Prize in 2016.
